Dr. Gerhard Schwab

Chief Executive Officer


Dr. Gerhard Schwab, is a versatile and highly accomplished business leader, professor of surgery and medical professional with over 30 years’ experience in the health care service and industry, of which 15 years have been spent in senior executive management positions. He is a qualified Medical practitioner and holds MBA in International Healthcare Management from the Danube University of Austria.

 

During his rich and diversified career, he held various senior positions including, Professor in Surgery, Managing Director, Consultant and Health Care Advisor. He started his career as Consultant and Professor for Surgery at General Hospital Krems, Austria wherein he was responsible for the overall performance and quality outcome of the department. He developed integrated chronic wound management, decreased cost for patients and implemented electronic system to evaluate staffing needs of physicians in clinical department. As a Medical Director of Al Ain Hospital on behalf of Medical University of Vienna International in 2008, he redesigned organisational and scope of clinical services and complete system transformation at the Hospital and associated Primary Care Centres with strong emphasis on quality of care and efficiency of the utilised resources.

 

During his association as Managing Director with influence Healthcare International in 2012, he successfully executed projects such as system transformation in one of Canada’s largest acute care teaching hospital, developed concept and feasibility study of integrated interventional pain management centre for private investors in UAE and comprehensive rehabilitation services in Riyadh KSA. He was also responsible for integration of model of care at Medical Centre at King Abdullah University for Science and Technology.

 

His most recent role was Deputy Chief Medical Officer since 2014 at NMC Healthcare wherein he oversee clinical business in terms of strategy, planning, managing and directing clinical and nursing functions, quality control, budget compliance and overall medical leadership and ensures that corporate vision, mission and objectives are fulfilled.

 

His achievements include implanting Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001, EFQM,JCIA) in hospital settings, Integrated Models of Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Chronic and Long Term Care, Led business transformation projects, applying value stream mapping.

Dr. Hari Menon

Chief Operating Officer


Dr Hari Menon brings onboard more than 22 years of rich experience within the Healthcare industry. Dr. Hari Menon began his career as a doctor and served in the capacity of a clinician. Apart from the extensive clinical exposure, his keenness in the hospital administration activities led him to specialize in this field. He then took over charge of a 150 bedded multi-specialty hospital in 1999, and was instrumental in the designing of the modern wing of the hospital, during his tenure. In 2002 he was appointed as Medical superintendent and CEO in a 250 bedded corporate hospital in Cochin, India. His next appointment was to head  for TPA Health Insurance, a private health care Third party administrator in India, in 2004 and served for 2years. During this time he was also actively involved in clinical and administration activities and for quality audit reviews. 
 
From 2006, he assumed charge of the post of the COO in a  a multi-specialty primary care and day care center in Bahrain having various centers across the GCC. He also successfully designed and implemented the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and made the center totally paperless. He is a certified international surveyor appointed by the ACHSI (Australian Council on healthcare standards international) and has been surveying various hospitals in the Middle East, Srilanka and  in Australia. In the last year of his tenure in Bahrain, he played an important role in the commissioning of a corporate 125 bedded high end multi- specialty hospital in Bahrain.
 
His most recent assignment was at a Healthcare group in UAE where he worked with the Management Team and successfully managed the units across the UAE as the COO handling 25 centres.
Linda Marshall

Director,Occupational Health International


Linda Marshall brings over 30 years of management experience from both the private and public health sectors in the UK, Oman, Kuwait and the UAE. Starting in Finance with a UK Health Authority, she moved to the front line of healthcare provision, spending 20 years in senior management roles at some of the most prestigious hospitals in London, and has managed teams across hospitals, clinics and diagnostic facilities.
 
At Executive and Board level, Linda has developed expertise across a range of functions and has become a multi-faceted operator, working across strategy, business development, business partnerships and acquisition, design and build of healthcare facilities, and operational management.
 
Linda left the UK for the Middle East in 2001, taking up the Director of Operations role in a newly commissioned hospital in Muscat, Oman, and has been in Dubai, UAE since 2007.
 
Linda completed her education at Westminster University and Imperial College School of Medicine, both in London (UK).
Arun Kumar

Director - Clinic Operations


Arun Kumar, a dedicated administrator with over 15 years of experience in healthcare and medical industry in the UAE and India. Prior to joining Gulf Healthcare, Arun was with Al Noor Polyclinic Group since June 2008 and was responsible for managing the overall operations of the clinics.

Jawad Jamil

Head Of Finance


Jawad Jamil is a FCCA qualified senior finance professional with 11 years + of experience in senior positions within various industries and professional services. In his role as Head of Finance, Jawad oversees finance, accounting, treasury functions and investor relations, and is a member of Senior Management team responsible for delivering business KPIs and budget along with his co-members by driving maximum potential from acquired assets and organic growth setups. 
 
In his previous role as Group Financial Controller with Retailcorp World, Jawad managed finance functions for the Group’s 6 standalone divisions across UAE and South Africa. Prior to that he worked for Ernst & Young with specific focus on financial sector clients (banks, investment/pvt equity), large govt. enterprises and Retail. Jawad began his career as an auditor with a local audit firm in the UAE. 
 
Jawad occasionally contributes to ACCA’s professional magazine and special publications. 
Rizwan Azam

Head of HR & Admin


Rizwan, is a seasoned, accomplished and an academically well qualified professional.  Prior to joining Gulf Healthcare, Rizwan served multi-national companies such as Dubai World and The Executive Office, formally known as Prime Minister’s office and Private Equity backed company in the retail sector in Dubai.

Maha Jubara

General Manager, Kuwait


Maha Jubara has B.Sc. in Economics and social Studies from the University of Khartoum, Sudan.She also has received her “AAHAM” American Association of Health Administrative Management and “HFMA” Healthcare Financial Management Association certificates from the US. She is a member of both the Associations.
 
She has vast experience in Business Development in the fields of Healthcare Management, Financial Analysis and Investment in both USA and Kuwait. Maha has worked directly with Kuwaiti Government in preparing Kuwait’s compensation due to the Iraqi invasion before the United Nation Compensation Commission “UNCC”.
 
Her most recent assignment was as a Director of Alia International Hospital, Kuwait.
